The Genesis Life 14-Day Breakthrough is similar to the "reset button" on your computer.  Here is where you can set aside and be committed to participating in a 14-day pre-planned wellness regiment. The GL 14-Day Breakthrough is designed to challenge and change the way you think, act and eventually lead to the development of positive (and permanent) life style habits.

Do you have to be a Genesis Life Wellness Member? No.  But it would be very helpful.  Genesis Life Wellness Members have access to the educational video training lessons and the exercises demonstration videos which are referenced throughout the 14-day program.

Below is the format for the Genesis Life 14-Day Breakthrough
Your Diet:
The dietary plan for GL 14-Day Breakthrough is based on alternating days of abstaining from all simple carbohydrates, grain products and animal based protein sources.  The days will be referenced as "ON" days and "OFF" days. 

On the "ON" days you can each a sensible diet based on your Genesis Life Wellness Program recommendations.

On the "OFF" days there is a choice of three different dietary suggestions designed to cleanse, detox, and train the participant both physiologically and emotionally to get accustomed to increasing larger amounts of "Live Foods" (fruits and vegetables) to their daily diet.
The GL 14-Day Breakthrough will clearly be a challenge to many participants.  Therefore, preparation is CRITICAL.  That means that you must shop appropriately on the weekends before the first and second week.

OFF Day Examples:
  1. Raw vegetable salads: Start with you favorite salad.  The best choices are romaine, bibb, mesclun and baby spinach. Then add your favorite raw vegetables such as carrots, beets, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, onions, etc.  If you have a problem with completely raw vegetables, you can quickly steam the veggies just to soften them up a little.  This is best for cabbage, asparagus, zucchini and mushrooms.  As far a getting some protein (only if you really need too), you can sparingly use some beans or chickpeas, but be mindful that these protein sources, though they are healthy and also high in calories (about 100 calories per 1/4 cup).  Finally, as a way to enhance some flavor (with out the use of dressings) I suggest adding some fruit such as pineapples and papaya.  They will make the dish more interesting and add healthy amounts of digestive enzymes to the meal. Please Note: Resist the urge to add raisons, nuts or croutons.
  2. Vegetable soups: Here is where you can get very creative.  You start with a homemade vegetable stock or simply go to the store and purchase organic vegetable stock soup.  This is the easiest of all the "OFF" day choices.  Just bring the soup to a low boil and start adding your vegetables.  The list and combinations are endless.  If it's n the produce department is can go in the soup.  There are no real recipes.  The flavor and spice can easily be altered by the amount and combination of garlic, onions, cilantro, peppers and other herbs.  For those who are real lazy (practical) boil the soup and drop in a bag of frozen mixed vegetables.  Just remember, no noodles, meat or cheese.  If you need to, like I mentioned above you can sparingly include beans in the soup.
  3. The fruit and vegetable smoothie: Again this is kind of simple, but it requires that you have access to a blender at different times during the day.  This may not be practical for those whose work or school situation restricts the use of a blender.  So this may be a choice for an "OFF" day that falls on a weekend.  Here's the simple recipe.  I suggest you start with (about 2 handfuls) raw spinach because it's highly nutritious and has a rather non-offensive flavor (my second choice is cabbage).  But you can use any other leafy green of your choice.  Then add a few scoops of ice, depending of how cold and thick you want your drink.  Next I would add some pineapples and/or papayas for their flavor and digestive enzymes.  Next you can add your choice of oranges, apples, pears, peaches, etc.  This is all up to personal taste.  NOTE 1: Leave the skin of the fruits that have edible skins.  Finally, finish with a combination of berries (preferably dark berries such as black berries, blueberries and raspberries) NOTE 2: Easy on the bananas.  You can use some because they are high in potassium and other minerals, but they are also high in calories. Note 3: Boost your smoothie for powerful detox properties: Add alfalfa or other sprouts, ginger root (careful, this is potent), collard greens, kale, parsley, flaxseed, cinnamon and pomegranates.

Or the final choice is a blend of all three on the off day.  Make a vegetable-fruit smoothie for breakfast, a raw salad prepared for lunch and a quick vegetable soup for dinner.

Final Note: There is really no limit on the amount.  Eat until your satisfied.  If done correctly (with out cheating in with carbs or proteins) you will never be able to consume more than your current metabolic rate.

Your exercise routine should stay at the same level that was instructed to you by me (if you are currently in the Genesis Life Wellness Program) or seek other qualified professional advice.  If you are not in the GLWP at this time, I can refer you to a professional who can moderate your care.

During the GL 14-Day Breakthrough your challenge is to "Double-up" on your routine on the "ON" days of eating.  If you do your 20-minute exercise in the morning, you can repeat it in the afternoon or evening.  Or simply just double-up and do 40-minutes in one session.

Remember: In order to achieve "Breakthrough" you must be WILLING to "BreakOUT" of your comfort zone.

Affirmation: I am successful
I am created in the likeness and image of almighty God.  He has poured into me every attribute of success and love.  I will do today what needs to be done to improve my health, regardless if I like to do it or not.  I will not only love those who love me, but I will love everyone, even those that are not kind to me, just like God still loves me when I'm not kind to Him.
I will start today with confronting every excuse that would hold me in bondage.  And today I will not allow any excuses from keeping me from achieving excellent health.  I CAN do all things through Christ who strengthens me, in all things I am more than a conquerer through Christ that loves me. 
Today is the first day of my breakthrough.  I will take one day at a time and I will not allow any distractions to hinder me.  I am Successful!

Day 2: "OFF" Day: 11-4-14

REMEMBER: Only Vegetables!
Affirmation: I Will not be moved!
Today I will take the initiative to do something that is not comfortable.  Today I will not be swayed to eat outside the plan.  Though I am tempted I will not fail.  I know that with God on my side I will have the victory.
Today I am in control over my diet.  I take one hour at a time and soon I will have the victory. My flesh is under my authority.
I am in control of my destiny!

Day 3: "ON" Day: 11-5-14

REMEMBER: Take one day at a time
Affirmation: I am willing to do what it takes.
Today is a good day.  I feel strong.  I am confident and willing to make the sacrifices necessary to be successful.  Yesterday is gone and today is a new day with a new victory.
I am willing to endure!  I am trusting in the Lord to give me the strength.

Day 4: "OFF" Day: 11-6-14

REMEMBER: Only Vegetables!
Affirmation: I can Do all things through Christ who strengthens me!
I know the road is not easy, but it's not impossible.  I know this can be a long day, but it doesn't last forever.  I know I will crave something other that vegetables, but I crave to be in shape more than anything.
There are NO shortcuts to success, but there is a road that leads there.  I am ready to do the work.  I am ready to bear the temptation.  I am ready to trust that God will se me through today.

Day 5: "ON" Day: 11-7-14

REMEMBER: Stick to the plan.
Affirmation: I am confident if I work the pan the pan will work for me.

The results I want are totally up to me.  If I put in the work I'm supposed to do, I will get the results I'm supposed to get.  Today I will focus on the positives.  I am strong and getting stronger.  No matter what the enemy says or does I know that the Lords plan is to prosper me and not harm me, to give me a hope and future.

Day 6: "OFF" Day: 11-8-14

REMEMBER: Back to Vegetables!
Affirmation: Today I choose to forgive!
Today I choose to forgive.  I start by forgiving my self for living my life out of alignment with God's covenants.  Today I line my actions up with God's purpose for my life.  I forgive myself for allowing my flesh to rule and cause destruction.  Today is the day I live in His purpose

Day 7: "ON" Day: 11-9-14

REMEMBER: Not every day is a perfect day.
Affirmation: I am confident that if I slip and fall, my God will be there to pick me up.
Even though I weep during the night, I know that joy will come in the morning.  I will not allow the hardship of any single day cause me to quit.  Any adversity the enemy sends my way, I am sure the Lord will use it as a stepping stone for good.  I know I will endure!

Day 8: "OFF" Day: 11-10-14

REMEMBER: 1 more week!
Affirmation: I am accountable!
Today I choose to be accountable for all my actions, words an deeds.  I will be accountable to the plan Dr. Vetere gave me.  I will follow the plan because it is good for me and I will be blessed in the end.  I know God will honor my obedience!


Day 9: "ON" Day: 11-11-14

-Double-up on your exercise
-Prepare for tomorrows day of all vegetables

REMEMBER: The Lord knows the intentions behind your actions.
Affirmation: The Law of the Lord is perfect and His Promises are Yes and Amen.
I will keep the covenants of the Lord and live by His Word everyday.  I trust that the Lord is honorable and will deliver all His promises according to my obedience!

Day 10: "OFF" Day: 11-12-14

REMEMBER: His mercy endures forever!
Affirmation: I will nor neglect my responsibility to myself!
Even though the Mercy of the Lord endures forever, I know that if I abuse or neglect my well being my body won't endure forever.  Today I will not abuse the mercy of the Lord.  I will be careful respect my body and not allow the enemy to steal a moment of my health. 


Day 11: "ON" Day: 11-13-14

REMEMBER: The Lord is the designer of your body.
Affirmation: I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I realize that the Lord is the source of all creation.  I am created in His likeness and image.  The Lord has placed in me the ability to heal and be healed.  I will work with, not against the creative intelligence that is in me.

Day 12: "OFF" Day: 11-14-14

REMEMBER: Don't believe everything you hear.
Affirmation: I trust the Lord will help me discern that which is truth!
I will question and investigate matters that concern my health.  I will question what is the cause and what is the solution.  I will work on correcting the cause of my health issues not just cover them up.  I will away be a student of the truth.


Day 13: "ON" Day: 11-15-14

REMEMBER: Don't give the enemy any space in your mind.
Affirmation: I am willing to fully commit my heart and mind to the Lord.
The Word of God is the standard for my life and I choose to transform my mind and all my thoughts to those that are pleasing to the Lord.  Today I forgive and release every negative thought and emotion that I am harboring.  I search my innermost man and rebuke every thought that is not consistent with the Word of God

Day 14: "OFF" Day: 11-16-14

REMEMBER: The power of life and death is in the tongue.
Affirmation: I will be careful to speak life over my mind and body today.  
I will choose my words carefully today.  My words have the ability to bless and also to curse.  I will speak life over my body and only speak life into my health situations.  I will not confess any "I AM" ownership to disease or sickness.  I will speak health and restoration.
